In a fairly recent household move, I was pleased to I find myself living in a place with big windows situated directly over a large gently moving body of water. It has become the source of constant visual stimulation with ever changing abstractions of the surrounding environment. My living environment is now dominated by a constant flow of pattern and color. I have developed a routine of returning to the same spot on the shore of this little lake every morning at approximately the same time to photograph the light induced pattern on the water's surface. Although it is the same time and the same place, what I record turns out to be continually changing, revealing new images each time. This constant revelation of change brings attention to the fact that every moment in our lives is new. Though it seems that nothing has happened, everything changes from moment to moment. It is spiritually and philosphically very rewarding.
