"To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place". Elliot Erwitt (*1928)
What attracts me is the play of light and shadow in the most common of weeds in my semi-tropical surroundings. I see unexpected juxtaposition of color and patterns that explode with surprises. The little situations captured feel like jewels. My favorite quote, and Im sorry I don't know its author is, "Point the camera at God and you will find God looking back at you". Thats how it often feels when it is going well.
I have learned that I don't have to invent new colors and shapes. Nature, in its infinite variety has done that for me. I am its humble student.
